Double and Regular Chicken Sandwiches











Chicken Sandwiches - Chef Rene Hewitt

This recipe is very easy to make, so please read through it first.

First, prepare your Mise En Plus, so you don’t have to run around to gather ingredients. You will need, kitchen gloves, a pan to cook chicken, and a pre-sharpened chef’s knife.


Ingredients


4 Chicken Breasts cut horizontally into 4 or 5 pieces

3 cups Panko Breadcrumbs

3 Eggs

2 cups flour

Olive Oil

Pan for frying

Burger buns

1 Jar of Pickles or Jalapeno Pepper slices

Cheddar Cheese


Preparing the Chicken


Add the flour in a bowl

Add the beaten eggs in another bowl

Add the Panko breadcrumbs in another bowl

Pat the seasoned sliced chicken in the flour and shake of any excess flour

Place the sliced chicken into the egg mixture

Place the sliced chicken in the breadcrumbs


Frying the Chicken

  1. Heat the pan to a moderate temperature

  2. Add the Olive oil to the pan and heat, but not extremely hot

  3. Place the chicken in the pan, but do not overcrowd pan

  4. Cook the chicken on one side and until golden brown (about 2 minutes per side)

  5. When the chicken is done, place on paper towel to drain

Making the sandwiches

  1. Mix mayonnaise and Hotsauce together in a bowl.

  2. Spread the mix on bother side of the toasted burger bun

  3. Place a slice of the chicken on the bun, then top with two slices of pickles and add cheese and pickles.

  4. You can make a single burger or even a double hitter
